Service Project - Manila American Cemetery 5-30-2016

On Saturday, May 28, 2016, the Senior couples and President and.
Sister Tye got up at 4AM and traveled to the Manila American Cemetery to help place flags on all the graves. (There are 17,097 graves there)
We were some of the first there. It looked like an overwhelming task, but in a hour or so, there were volunteers everywhere. The job was done in no time.
I have been here before. My heart is moved each time I have entered the Mermorial Park. We owe so much to these and others like them. I feel a deep since of gratitude for what they have done for us. They all have families that mourned their loss. They all had lives to live. But they put it all on the line when it was necessary.
God bless America. God bless these who made the alremate sacrifice.

We placed an American and a Filipino flag on every grave.

We found this headstone for Dennis J Peterson. Spelled "on", not "en".

Indang Baptism 5-30-2016

Two weeks ago, we drove to our Indang branch for a baptism. The branch meets in a made over house, so there is no baptism font in the building. The baptisms are done at a swilling pool, or in the river if needed. This one was done at a swimming pool. The baptismal service is done at the church house, and then on to the pool for the baptism.

Sister Petersen's special little friend.

On to the pool for the baptism.

These photos were taken on the same property as the pool.

This spider is the size of the palm of my hand. I was not about to put my hand up there for comparison, so you will just need to take my word for it.
