Cavite City 4-28-2016

I love this Country. I love these people.
If you are a family of 7 people and all you have for transportation is a small 125 motercycle, what do you do? You make do.

Count. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7. Yes, seven on this bike. I love it.

The Claw.

Cavite City is out on what our missionaries call "The Claw". There are two chapels out on The
Claw. We took the time to drive out. What a pleasant surprise. Loved it.
This post is about some of what we saw there.

Drying small fish

Mending the nets.

Beach front property with a pool and a view.

Electrical pole. This makes me want to be a meter reader.

McDonnald's kids. We have seen this often. Bring the kids into McDo's for a fun day of on the job training. These could have been our grandkids. Love it.

An church on The Claw. Beautiful.

Rice Fields 1/15/2016

We have been in the Philippines for a year now. I never get tired of seeing the rice fields. There are rice fields anywhere there is room for a rice field. The Filipino farmers work so hard. Most of the work is done by hand, sometimes with the help of a Carabao
Here are just a few of the photos we have of rice fields.

Leveling the fields with Carabao power.

Thinning the fields by hand, of course.

Harvest time. By hand, of course.

The stubble is burned. We can smell the burning rice fields in Molino.  Like the smell now.

A spare Carabao in case one breaks down. I love the Philippines.
